04:57 AM EST, 12/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Court of Justice of the European Union said Tuesday that Dutch courts have jurisdiction to handle a case brought by two Netherlands-based foundations accusing Apple's ( AAPL ) App Store of anticompetitive behavior.
The iPhone maker had argued that Dutch tribunals lacked authority because the alleged harmful conduct did not occur in the Netherlands, a court filing showed.
The Dutch court handling the matter referred the jurisdiction question to the EU Court of Justice, which confirmed that the case can proceed in the Netherlands.
Apple ( AAPL ) didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
