07:28 AM EDT, 07/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- A.O. Smith (AOS) said Monday it has agreed to acquire Pureit from Unilever ( UL ) for about $120 million in cash.

The acquisition, which is expected to close by the end of the year, is not expected to have a material impact on earnings in the first year, the company said.

Pureit offers a wide range of home water purification services and generates around $60 million in annual sales, mainly in the Indian market, the company said.
