04:52 PM EDT, 06/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apartment Income REIT ( AIRC ) late Tuesday said its shareholders voted to accept the $10 billion go-private transaction with an affiliate of Blackstone (BX), paving way for the deal to close later this week.

The companies disclosed plans in April for Apartment Income REIT ( AIRC ) to be acquired by Blackstone's Real Estate Partners X fund, which will pay $39.12 for each of the outstanding share, representing a 25% premium to closing price at announcement of the deal.

The deal is now scheduled to close Friday. The REIT's shares will cease trading after deal close.
