04:51 PM EDT, 07/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) said late Tuesday it named Sabih Khan as chief operating officer.

Khan will assume his new role in July, succeeding Jeff Williams, who will continue to oversee the company's design team, Health and Apple Watch projects, until retirement later this year, according to a statement.

Khan was most recently the senior vice president of Operations at Apple ( AAPL ), the company said.

Apple's ( AAPL ) design team will also transition to directly report to chief executive officer Tim Cook after Williams' retirement, it added.
