07:46 AM EDT, 05/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) is facing a potential strike at its retail store in Towson, Maryland after members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers' Coalition of Organized Retail Employees, or IAM CORE, voted in favor of authorizing a labor action, the union said in a Saturday statement.

IAM CORE represents about 100 employees at the Maryland store and the union said it has been in talks with Apple ( AAPL ) over certain workplace conditions since January 2023. The issues include wages, work-life balance, and scheduling practices, the union added.

IAM CORE is yet to set a potential work stoppage date, according to the statement.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
