Apple Hospitality REIT Buys Homewood Suites in Florida for $18.8 Million

10:55 AM EDT, 06/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple Hospitality REIT ( APLE ) said Wednesday it acquired the 126-room Homewood Suites by Hilton in Tampa-Brandon for $18.8 million, or about $149,000 per room.

The hotel, located next to the company's Embassy Suites in the same area, was sold by a loan servicer. The deal represents a 12% capitalization rate based on trailing 12-month results through April.

Apple Hospitality also said it has two other hotel transactions in progress. It plans to acquire a 260-room Motto by Hilton under development in downtown Nashville for about $98.2 million and has a contract to sell its 206-room Houston Marriott Energy Corridor for roughly $16 million. Both deals remain subject to closing conditions.

Shares of Apple Hospitality REIT ( APLE ) were up nearly 1% in recent trading.
