10:39 AM EST, 01/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) said Monday it has launched the new AirTag accessory with an expanded finding range, a louder speaker, and its second-generation Ultra Wideband chip.
The company said the device tracks objects from up to 50% farther than the previous generation, is 50% louder, and integrates with a new feature to share item locations securely with third parties, such as airlines for recovering luggage.
The new AirTag also gets protections against unwanted tracking and uses end-to-end encryption to ensure only the owner can access location data, the company added.
Apple ( AAPL ) said the device, compatible with devices running iOS 26 or later, is available starting Monday for $29 each and $99 for a four-pack.
Shares of Apple ( AAPL ) were up 2.7% in recent trading Monday.
