07:06 AM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) recorded about 21% year-over-year growth in deliveries of personal computers during Q2, the biggest jump among global PC makers as the industry continues to recover, preliminary data from research firm IDC showed Tuesday.
Worldwide shipments have increased by 3% during the quarter, with help from demand for PCs with AI capabilities, IDC said. This has been the second consecutive quarter of growth, following seven consecutive quarters of decline, according to the research firm.
Apple's ( AAPL ) growth was followed by Acer Group's 14%, IDC said. HP (HPQ) posted a 2% growth, while Dell Technologies ( DELL ) declined by 2%.
China's Lenovo Group had the biggest market share during Q2 at 23%, followed by HP at 21% and Dell at 16%.
