06:57 AM EST, 02/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) on Tuesday announced a major expansion of its manufacturing operations in Houston, bringing Mac mini production to the US for the first time and ramping up advanced artificial intelligence server manufacturing at the site.

The tech giant said Mac mini production will begin later this year, and the expansion is expected to create thousands of jobs.

Apple ( AAPL ) also said it started producing advanced AI servers in Houston in 2025, with output already ahead of schedule. The servers, including logic boards manufactured onsite, are used in Apple ( AAPL ) data centers across the country, according to the company.

In addition to expanding production, the company said it plans to open a 20,000-square-foot Advanced Manufacturing Center in Houston later this year.
