Apple's iPhone XS and XS Max to go on sale in India from 6 PM today, says report
Sep 27, 2018 1:11 PM

Apple is going to launch new iPhones, iPhone XS and XS Max in India on September 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM and it's importing around a lakh units of both the models for the launch phase, reported Economic Times.

The launch will happen in top 12 cities, which includes New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad amongst others.

It's also planning to change its earlier India launch strategy of bringing new iPhone models through exclusive franchisee-owned Apple Premium Resellers (APRs) and large retail chains to include even the neighbourhood retailers who are part of the Apple’s distribution eco-system.

The costlier iPhone XS Max will witness more response as the maximum pre-bookings in India has been for this model, reported Economic Times.

However, analysts have a different story to say as they predict very slow sales of the new iPhones in the Indian market due to huge pricing. Some retailers feel that India's grey market will rise due to the difference in prices of iPhones in India and globally.
