10:42 AM EST, 11/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Applied Materials ( AMAT ) said Thursday it is introducing its MAX OLED display technology found in high-end smartphones to tablets, personal computers, and eventually TVs.

The technology has attracted "strong" interest from customers, with repeat orders from various "leading" display manufacturers, the company said.

Applied said it will supply a MAX OLED offering to Samsung Display.

The company's shares were up about 1.8% in recent trading.
