07:45 AM EST, 12/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Applied Therapeutics ( APLT ) said it appointed John Johnson as executive chairman and Chief Financial Officer Les Funtleyder as interim chief executive, effective immediately.

Johnson and Funtleyder succeed Shoshana Shendelman, who has stepped down as chair and CEO, the company said.

Funtleyder will continue to serve as CFO while taking on the responsibilities of interim CEO with support from the finance team, the company added.
