10:36 AM EST, 01/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Arch Resources ( ARCH ) and Consol Energy ( CEIX ) said Thursday both companies' shareholders have approved their pending merger.

The deal is expected to close on Tuesday, contingent on final customary conditions, the companies said.

The combined company will be named Core Natural Resources and is expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CNR on Wednesday.
