09:22 AM EST, 12/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Archer Aviation ( ACHR ) said Thursday it recently received the certificate of occupancy for its high-volume manufacturing facility near the municipal airport in Covington, Georgia, and was working to complete the initial manufacturing line at the facility.

Production of Archer's electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft is expected to begin in early 2025, the company said, adding it targets to produce two aircraft each month by the end of the year.

Archer shares were nearly 4% higher in Thursday's pre-trade.
