06:59 AM EST, 11/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Archer Aviation ( ACHR ) said Wednesday it agreed with The Helicopter Company and Red Sea Global to develop and test electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft operations in Saudi Arabia.

The partners will set up a controlled sandbox program with Saudi authorities to fly Archer's Midnight aircraft under real-world conditions and assess performance, operating feasibility, regulatory alignment, and passenger acceptance, the company said.

In the initial phase, Archer will work with THC and Red Sea Global to define the framework for eVTOL operations in the country and run test flights to gauge overall readiness, it said.

Red Sea Global will manage sandbox testing using its airspace and infrastructure to study how eVTOL services could be built into its future operations, Archer said.

Shares of the company were up by over 1% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
