11:09 AM EDT, 03/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Archer Aviation ( ACHR ) was advancing Monday after the company said it will jointly develop with Falcon Aviation a network of vertiports connecting Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates as soon as 2025 using Archer's Midnight flying cars.

The companies will develop vertiports at Falcon's existing heliport facilities at two hotels in Dubai and another heliport in Abu Dhabi for Archer's flying cars, according to Archer. Financial details weren't provided.

Once operational, the flights between Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to take about 30 minutes from takeoff to landing, compared with more than two hours of driving between the two cities during peak hours, Archer said.

Archer Aviation ( ACHR ) shares were 8% higher in recent Monday trading.
