06:13 AM EDT, 07/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Archer-Daniels-Midland ( ADM ) and Ingredion ( INGR ) shares fell in pre-bell trading on Thursday after President Donald Trump announced that he had convinced Coca-Cola (KO) to use cane sugar instead of the corn syrup the companies produce to sweeten its flagship beverage.
Shares of Archer-Daniels-Midland ( ADM ) were down nearly 6% in pre-bell activity while Ingredion ( INGR ) was down nearly 7% lower.
Trump said Wednesday that he persuaded Coca-Cola to switch to cane sugar, while Coca-Cola only referred to upcoming "new innovative offerings" in a statement.
