10:05 AM EDT, 08/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Archer-Daniels-Midland ( ADM ) and OCOchem entered a production partnership agreement to build a carbon dioxide conversion facility that will be co-located within ADM's corn processing complex in Decatur, Illinois, OCOchem said Monday.
Financial details weren't provided.
The plant will convert biogenic carbon dioxide from ADM's ethanol production stream to formate molecules that can be used in various consumer and industrial products and applications, OCOchem said.
OCOchem said that under the deal, it will build, deploy and operate modular Carbon FluX electrolyzer systems to convert water and carbon dioxide captured from the bioethanol plant into carbon-negative formate molecules.
Construction of the plant is expected to start later this year and to be completed by the end of 2026, OCOchem said.
