09:00 AM EST, 01/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ardent Health Partners ( ARDT ) shares were higher premarket Friday after the company said it acquired 18 urgent care clinics from NextCare Urgent Care, expanding its ambulatory operations in New Mexico and Oklahoma.

The company said the transaction included six clinics in New Mexico, which will join Lovelace Health System, and 12 clinics in Oklahoma, which will become part of Hillcrest HealthCare System.

Ardent currently operates five hospitals and 25 care sites in New Mexico, along with eight hospitals and 57 care sites in Oklahoma, it added.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
