09:09 AM EDT, 07/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ardmore Shipping ( ASC ) said Monday that its founder and chief executive officer, Anthony Gurnee, plans to retire later this year.

The company said it has named its chief commercial officer, Gernot Ruppelt, as its new CEO.

Also, the company said it chief financial officer, Bart Kelleher, will assume the additional role of president.

The company said the transition is effective Sept. 16.

Shares of Ardmore Shipping ( ASC ) were down 1.4% in recent Monday premarket activity.
