Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $0.59.

Total investment income for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $775 million, up from $655 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $773.3 million.

The company said it has maintained its quarterly dividend of $0.48 per share, payable on Dec. 30 to shareholders of record on Dec. 13.
