Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected adjusted EPS of $0.60.

Total investment income for the quarter ended March 31 was $701 million, up from $618 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $703.9 million.

The company maintained its dividend of $0.48 per share, payable June 28 to shareholders of record on June 14.
