11:53 AM EDT, 09/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ares Management ( ARES ) Private Equity funds has signed an agreement to acquire a "significant" minority stake in EP Wealth Advisors, the investment advisory firm said Tuesday.

Ares' investment will provide EP Wealth with capital and strategic support for its corporate initiatives, including talent acquisition, technology, and client-facing offerings, according to the company.

EP Wealth said its management will continue to operate independently.

The deal is expected to be completed in October. Terms were not disclosed, according to a statement.

Ares shares fell 4% in recent trading.
