09:49 AM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Argan (AGX) said Monday its Atlantic Projects Co. subsidiary has signed an engineering, procurement and construction services contract for the Platin Power Station with SSE Thermal, which is part of the energy group SSE Plc.

Financial details weren't provided.

The project in County Meath, Ireland, will comprise three Siemens Energy SGT-800 turbines, the company said, adding it will provide 170 MW of generation capacity to the grid during high-demand periods and will supply shortfalls from renewable sources.

Completion of the project is expected in 2028, Argan said.
