Argo Up 11% as It and the City of Brampton Announce a $10.9 Million Smart Transit Partnership

01:02 PM EDT, 04/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Argo (ARGH.V) on Wednesday announced a $10.9 million, 12-month, pilot program with the City of Brampton, Ontario, to deploy its Smart Routing transit system.

The company said the pilot will be launched this summer and Brampton residents will be able to request on-demand rides near their door for a standard fare, with easy connections into Brampton Transit and GO Transit networks.

"Brampton is home not only to a thriving Innovation District, but also to one of the fastest-growing and most robust public transit networks in the country," said Chief Executive Praveen Arichandran. "We're proud to partner with Brampton on a global stage to develop advanced mobility systems, strengthen existing public transit infrastructure, and create a more connected, accessible, and prosperous future."

Shares of the company were last seen up $0.05 at $0.51 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
