Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.08.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $1.81 billion, up from $1.51 billion a year ago.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.76 billion.

The company said it expects Q4 revenue of $1.85 billion to $1.90 billion.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $1.82 billion.

Shares of Arista Networks ( ANET ) were down 3% in after-hours activity.
