07:05 AM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Arizona Sonoran Copper ( ASCUF ) on Wednesday said it has completed the infill to indicated pre-feasibility study drilling program and a Cactus West step out drill program at the Cactus project in Arizona.
Pre-feasibility drilling focused in the south of the Parks/Salyer deposit to upgrade near surface and low grade inferred mineral resource estimates to the indicated classification.
Drilling for the definitive feasibility study infill indicated to measured conversion drilling program is now underway, with two drill rigs at Parks/Salyer.
Based on drill assays received, the company expects a high mineral resource estimate conversion rate, as infill drilling continues to intercept consistent copper porphyry mineralization at both Parks/Salyer and Cactus West deposits.
An updated mineral resource estimate for the Cactus project is expected soon, the company said.
The MRE update aims for an upgrade of the inferred MREs into the measured and indicated classification and will feed into the pre-feasibility study, expected to be released in the second half of 2025.
At Parks/Salyer, the company confirmed continuity of low grade and near surface copper porphyry mineralization at 250-foot drill spacings. The higher-grade Parks/Salyer zone expanded further west and south.
At Cactus West, step-out drilling extended mineralized zones by up to 1,000 feet to the north, south and southwest. Drilling also extended mineralization below the Cactus West pit shell.
