Arizona Sonoran Copper Extends Primary Mineralization at Cactus Project in Arizona
Jun 10, 2024 5:12 AM

07:52 AM EDT, 06/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Arizona Sonoran Copper ( ASCUF ) reported Monday drilling results targeting the area around the Cactus West pit on the Cactus project in Arizona, extending primary mineralization by around 229 meters.

The company said drilling confirmed a thick zone of primary sulfide mineralization beneath the Cactus West open pit mine plan. Results from 2,550 meters of drilling include 446 meters at 0.31% total copper and 301 meters at 0.34% total copper.

"While these Cactus West results will not be included in the pending preliminary economic assessment, we see an expanding primary sulfide zone as future optionality on what is already one of the largest development stage copper assets in the U.S. today," President and CEO George Ogilvie said.

The company's share price fell 6% on Friday to $1.42.
