07:27 AM EDT, 09/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Arizona Sonoran Copper ( ASCUF ) reported Monday drill assay results from its infill and step-out drilling program around the Cactus west pit within the Cactus project in Arizona.
Highlights include 646 meters at 0.40% total copper, 643 meters at 0.31% total copper and 579 meters at 0.33% total copper.
The results were from 17 drill holes totaling 9,387 meters, targeting the primary sulfides below the oxide and enriched zones at Cactus West.
"The drill program at Cactus West is showing significantly more primary sulfide mineralization below and outside of the existing resource pit shell," President and CEO George Ogilvie said.
The company said new columns from the southern claim block for the nearby Parks/Salyer project are anticipated to start in the fourth quarter once new metallurgical core has been made available.
Arizona Sonoran's share price rose 2.5% on Friday to $1.59.
