Artemis Gold Evacuates Non-Essential Workers From the Blackwater Mine

11:59 AM EDT, 07/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Artemis Gold ( ARGTF ) on Monday said it evacuated non-essential personnel from its Blackwater mine project in British Columbia due to wildfire risk.

The company said it is following an evacuation order issued for the region that includes the project and taken steps to protect the project and remaining staff.

"The safety and wellbeing of our employees and contractors is always our top priority. Meanwhile, we are supporting our project team in planning our prompt return to full-scale construction as soon as it is safe to do so. We will provide further updates as necessary," chief executive Steven Dean said in a release.

Artemis shares were last seen down $0.29 to $11.11 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
