Ascot Resources Learns of Statement of Claim and Denies Allegation
Aug 20, 2025 2:27 PM

05:08 PM EDT, 08/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ascot Resources ( AOTVF ) after trade on Wednesday said it learned that a statement of claim was filed in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice against it and certain other parties as defendants asserting various claims including alleged misrepresentations in its public disclosure relating to the company's operations at the Premier Gold mine.

"In the action," a statement said, "the plaintiff seeks certification as a class proceeding and with any other class members seeks unspecified damages and various declaratory relief. Although no assurance can be given with respect to the ultimate outcome of the action, the company believes that the complaint against it is unfounded and without merit, and it intends to vigorously defend the proceeding."

Ascot shares closed up $0.005 to $0.055 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
