ASE Technology Plans to Buy Analog Devices Malaysia Facility

04:32 AM EDT, 10/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- ASE Technology ( ASX ) plans to fully acquire a subsidiary of Analog Devices ( ADI ) and consequently its manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia, the companies said Tuesday.

The companies intend to enter into a long-term supply agreement, under which ASE will provide manufacturing services for Analog Devices ( ADI ).

The companies said they also plan to co-invest in upgrading the Penang site.

ASE and Analog Devices ( ADI ) expect to sign definitive agreements in Q4, with closing expected in H1 2026.

ASE shares were down 3.5% in recent premarket activity, while Analog Devices ( ADI ) fell 0.1%.
