Aspen Insurance Agrees to Be Acquired by Sompo for $3.5 Billion

08:20 AM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aspen Insurance ( AHL ) has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Sompo Holdings for $37.50 per share in cash, or about $3.5 billion, the companies said Wednesday.

The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to certain customary closing conditions, according to a statement.

Shares of Aspen Insurance ( AHL ) were up more than 11% in recent premarket activity Wednesday.
