04:27 AM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AstraZeneca ( AZN ) said Sunday that results from a phase 3 trial of Tagrisso plus pemetrexed and platinum-based chemotherapy showed statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in the key secondary endpoint of overall survival compared with Tagrisso alone in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

The Tagrisso combination therapy showed a median overall survival of nearly four years versus three years for Tagrisso monotherapy, the company said.
