08:13 AM EDT, 10/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AtkinsRealis Group ( SNCAF ) on Wednesday said it will work with the UK's largest listed water company, United Utillities, to deliver a major environmental program to provide cleaner rivers, more reliable water supplies and better services.

The framework will run for five years initially, with an option to extend up to 11 years. United Utilities has appointed three design and development partners (DDP) with contracts worth up to 90 million pounds per partner, over 11 years. AtkinsRealis' ( SNCAF ) local teams will work off United Utilities' concepts to create detailed designs across the company's water and wastewater sites, including bio resource and rainwater management projects.

The DDP appointments will support what United Utilities says is the largest environmental program in the North West of England in over a century.
