08:33 AM EDT, 03/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AtkinsRealis Group ( SNCAF ) , an engineering services and nuclear company with offices around the world, on Tuesday said it has been awarded a contract worth about 98 million British pounds by Network Rail, Britain's rail infrastructure owner, to upgrade signalling and telecommunications infrastructure in Wessex, South England.

The company said it will act as principal contractor and designer, over three years, to deliver full end-to-end design, project management and construction services to upgrade 43 kilometres of railway near Portsmouth.

AtkinsRealis ( SNCAF ) will deploy its Advanced Signalling Method, the first rail systems integration product of its kind to gain formal product approval from Network Rail. The contract was awarded through Network Rail's 4 billion British pounds Train Control Systems Framework, which AtkinsRealis ( SNCAF ) secured a place on in September 2024.

Shares of the company closed up 4.3% to $92.08 on Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
