AtkinsRealis Wins US$18 Million Services Contract from Texas Department of Transportation
Jul 9, 2024 6:07 AM

08:39 AM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AtkinsRealis Group ( SNCAF ) said on Tuesday that it secured a four-year, US$18 million contract from the Texas Department of Transportation to provide construction, engineering and inspection (CE&I) services for an interstate highway project in Waco, Texas.

The company and its subconsultant partners will provide overall project administration on the job, including day-to-day management of construction inspection, material testing and project documentation.

AtkinsRealis ( SNCAF ) said the US$263 million project widens nearly 5.3 kilometers of Interstate 35 to eight lanes, reconstructs interchanges and frontage roads to reduce congestion and meet future demand needs in the first complete rebuild of the roadway since it was first constructed in the 1960s.

AtkinsRealis ( SNCAF ) said it has provided CE&I services on three other interstate projects for the state, two of which are currently ongoing.

AtkinsRealis' ( SNCAF ) share price rose 0.8% yesterday to $58.50 on the TSX.
