01:27 PM EST, 02/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Atlantic Union Bankshares ( AUB ) and Sandy Spring Bancorp ( SASR ) on Wednesday said that their respective shareholders approved the previously announced merger.

Sandy Spring will merge into Atlantic Union in an all-stock transaction.

The banks also confirmed they have received all required regulatory approvals, and the merger is expected to close on April 1.
