08:30 AM EDT, 07/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Atlas Luxco said Monday it is launching a public offer to buy all outstanding common shares and Swedish depositary receipts of Millicom International Cellular ( TIGO ) at $24 per share in cash.

The offer values Millicom at roughly $4.1 billion for its outstanding 171.3 million shares, Atlas added.

Millicom said Thursday an independent committee from its board found an all-cash tender offer from Atlas Luxco of $24 per share significantly undervalued.
