AT&T Launches Program to Provide Credits to Customers Experiencing Outages

09:47 AM EST, 01/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AT&T ( T ) has introduced a program that it said will provide eligible customers with a bill credit if they experience wireless or fiber internet network outages.

The telecommunications giant defines a qualifying outage when at least 10 towers are down for an hour or more due to a single incident. AT&T ( T ) said it has established metrics to evaluate its performance, and that effected customers may receive a bill credit, reward card, or other benefits.

The company said the main purpose of its AT&T Guarantee initiative is "to serve as acknowledgement that we have come up short of our own expectations."

Shares of AT&T ( T ) were down 1.3% in recent trading.
