06:27 AM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Aura Minerals ( ORAAF ) second-quarter total production rose by a third, driven by the performance of the Minosa mine as a result of operational improvements.
Preliminary production from Aura's four operating mines - Aranzazu, Apnea, Minosa and Almas - amounted to 64,326 gold equivalent ounces, up from 48,522 gold equivalent ounces.
The Minosa mine achieved stable production at about 19,000 gold equivalent ounces per quarter after five consecutive quarterly production increases, the company said.
In the first semester of 2024, Aura's total production was 132,513 gold equivalent ounces, reaching the midpoint and remaining on track to achieve the company's 2024 production guidance range of 244,000 to 292,000 gold equivalent ounces.
Production for the last 12 months as of June 30 was 266,583 gold equivalent ounces, the second-highest in the company's history at current prices and the highest at constant prices.
Aura rose 3% to near 52-week highs at $13.50 per share on Tuesday.
