09:40 AM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aurion Resources ( AIRRF ) on Tuesday reported results for mineralogical and metallurgical test work on two samples from the Vanha prospect (Kaaresselka) and two samples from the Aamurusko prospect, located within the wholly owned Risti property in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt in northern Finland.
The company said all samples demonstrate high recoveries of more than 93.6% from bottle roll leaching tests, confirming predominantly free-milling gold. It added that the results indicate rapid leaching of gold with near maximum recoveries achieved in all samples after 10 hours of leaching time. The total leaching test period was 72 hours.
The company said leaching tests on Kaaresselka and Aamurusko samples returned gold recoveries of 93.6% to 96.1% and 94.2% to 99.9%, respectively.
A company statement said a grind size of P80 75 microns provides favorable liberation of gold grains and the presence of coarser fractions of gold greater than 75 microns suggests potential for gravity recovery methods.
The company added that drilling is ongoing at the Kaaresselka area, on the Risti property and targets include the Vanha prospect and the Kaares area.
"The excellent results, with gold recoveries of 93.6-99.9%, from the initial mineralogical and metallurgical test work on the Risti samples confirm the presence of predominantly free-milling gold with favorable mineralogical and metallurgical characteristics for efficient processing using industry standard methods," said Aurion Chief Executive Matti Talikka. "The ongoing drilling program at Risti, with a focus on the Kaaresselka area, is progressing well, and the results will be reported in due course."
