Aurora Spine "Bone-Mimicking" Lumbar Interbody Fusion Device
Sep 18, 2025 5:16 AM

07:42 AM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aurora Spine ( ASAPF ) overnight Wednesday announced the official launch of its DEXA-L anterior lumbar interbody fusion device, part of its DEXA technology platform.

The interbody fusion device, part of a series of products that are the world's first bone density matched implants, has already been implanted in initial surgeries, the company said.

The DEXA-L is the first "bone-mimicking" structural implant that enables doctors to match the implant to the patient's bone density and quality.

"We are excited to introduce another procedural solution that accommodates not only standard spine patients but the most challenging patients who are also in need of care. Patient specific options for spine surgery have been advancing over the last several years but not matching a patient's bone density was a glaring need for a significant number of patients," said Ron Eckels, Aurora's U.S. Director of Spine.

Shares in ASG were unchanged in Canada yesterday.
