Aug 14 (Reuters) - Australia's QBE Insurance posted
a 3.6% rise in its half-year profit on Friday, helped by higher
net investment income, while catastrophe costs also came in
below allowance.
The insurer's adjusted net profit after income tax came in
at $1,033 million for the six months ended June 30, compared
with $997 million reported a year earlier.
The result beat a VA estimate of $1.02 billion.
