07:26 AM EDT, 07/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AutoNation ( AN ) said in a Monday filing that it expects Q2 earnings per share of $3.15 to $3.30, including a negative impact of about $1.50 per share from a cyber incident at its third-party information systems provider CDK Global.
The company said CDK Global reported a cyber incident in June that affected the systems backing AutoNation's ( AN ) dealer management system, which supports dealership operations including sales, service, inventory, customer relationship management, and accounting functions.
AutoNation ( AN ) said the cyber incident disrupted its business operations and while access to its dealer management system has been restored, it continues to work on restoring certain ancillary systems and integrations. The "limited availability" of these ancillary systems and integrations is not expected to have a material impact on the company's business, AutoNation ( AN ) added.
AutoNation ( AN ) is set to release its Q2 results on July 31.
