Avangrid Receives Regulatory Approval for 18.4% Remaining Stake Purchase by Europe's Iberdrola

05:40 PM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Avangrid ( AGR ) said late Thursday that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved Iberdrola's acquisition of the remaining 18.4% shares of Avangrid ( AGR ) that it does not own currently.

Avangrid ( AGR ), a sustainable energy company, is a member of the group of companies controlled by Iberdrola, according to a press statement. Iberdrola is a European electricity utility company.

The transaction will likely close in Q4, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

Price: 35.68, Change: +0.15, Percent Change: +0.42
