Avanti Gold Up More Than 20% As Appoints Former President of Anglogold Ashanti, Sir Samuel Jonah, as Director and Chairman of the Board

01:57 PM EDT, 05/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Avanti Gold ( AVTGF ) was up more than 20% at last look on Friday after reporting that Samuel Jonah has joined the company as a director and chairman of the board.

Jonah is a former president of AngloGold Ashanti.

This comes a day after Avanti entered into a share exchange agreement, dated May 1, 2023 with MTM Ltd., a privately held arms-length company established under the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, and each of the shareholders of MTM. Pursuant to the terms of the exchange agreement, the company proposes to acquire all the outstanding share capital of MTM.
