10:39 AM EDT, 09/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Avantor ( AVTR ) said Wednesday it entered into a 10-year virtual power purchase agreement through the Energize program, an initiative to provide access to renewable energy for pharmaceutical supply chains.

The agreement supports the development of three new solar projects in Spain, the company said, adding that the project will cover its European operations with 25GWh of renewable energy annually, starting 2026.

Shares of the company fell more than 2% in recent trading.
