It was an action-packed day at the Global Aviation Summit. CNBC-TV18's Anu Sharma caught up with who's who from the industry including Vistara CEO Leslie Thng and IATA CEO Alexandre De Juniac.

Leslie Thng said, "When we look at it in terms of domestic as well as international, domestic is one that we will continue to increase frequency. We are also planning to start another one or two more new destinations within the country, we will soon make the announcement. As far as international is concerned we will be starting soon and India will be the host of new destinations that we will be embarking on."

Alexandre De Juniac said, "Aviation market is highly competitive market particularly in India, so the growth has been fantastic. It is the fastest growing market and it has gone along with a sharp decline in fares but also with some difficulties coming from global macroeconomic environment inputs."
