The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Monday said that it will review the move of airlines to charge for web check-in after passengers took to social media platform Twitter to complain against the carriers' decision.
The ministry said that it has noted that airlines are now charging for web check-in for all seats.
MoCA has noted that airlines are now charging for web check-in for all seats. We are reviewing these fees to see whether they fall within the unbundled pricing framework.

IndiGo late Sunday told its passengers that as per its revised policy, all seats will be chargeable for web check-in. If passengers want to book seats for free, then they can check-in at the airport.
"Seats will be assigned as per the availability," IndiGo added.
Even SpiceJet's booking website showed that a passenger is required to pay a minimum amount of Rs 99 for booking seat before hand while making ticket reservation.
Airlines, not charging for web check-in, noted this as a good time to reinforce their "free web check-in" policy and tweeted about the same.
"Complimentary lounge access for Club Vistara Platinum & Gold members. Complimentary status match. No fee for advance seat selection and web check-in. And so much more! Only on Vistara, India's most loved airline. Try us if you haven't already? #NotJustAnotherAirline," Vistara tweeted.
